Removing drain plug in radiator in 2003 sunfire

The textbook method is to remove the drain plug on the bottom of the radiator.

Most drain plug is make of inexpensive nylon/plastic and it may fall apart while you turn it.

The professional method is to loosen the lower radiator clamp and drop to lower radiator hose.

Drain the coolant onto a large drain pan and recycle the coolant

I need to change my antfreeze. where is the drain ??

On GM cars, typically the drain is on the driver's side of the radiator base.

However, many folks find that draining a cool engine works better if the bottom radiator hose is removed from the radiator... quick, easy and allows flushing with a garden hose!!
