Question about 1997 Chevrolet S-10 Pickup
I am having an issue with my shifter ''sticking'' or ''jamming'' while trying to shift into gears. 1st and 2nd gear in particular. It does not get any better as I drive. The issue just started yesterday and became much worse today. I had difficulty getting into 2nd gear several times to the point I was not sure if it was going to go. If the vehicle is turned off and I press the clutch in, it shifts smoothly w/o hesitation. It's a 97 Chevy s 10 with about 141k miles.
Any advise on what is going on or how to fix it?
You have two possible problems, slave cyld. worn and possible leaking, or clutch and pressure plate worn.
