Question about 2001 Jeep Cherokee
I CARRIED MY 2001 JCS TO A FAMILIAR jJEEP DEALERSHIP TODAY BECAUSE THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. HE DID THE COMPUTER CHECK AND TOLD ME IT WAS THE EVAPORATOR (?) PUMP. HE SAID IT WAS ALRIGHT TO RUN BUT PROBABLY I WOULD NEED TO REPLACE IT IN THE FUTURE. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON. WILL I DAMAGE MY CAR BY RUNNING IT NOW.
It will be ok to run for a while. i think what the tech was telling you is the evaprative emissions system leak detection pump may have gone bad. the light will remain on til the system is repaired
