Question about 1999 Dodge Durango

1 Answer

Need fuse schematic

The rear passenger side stop light went out on my 2004 Dodge Durango. I have changed the bulb, but that didn't work. Switched stop light and tail light bulbs. Stop light still didn't work, but bulb worked in tail light position. Think it might be the fuse, not sure. Need the fuse schematic to know which fuse to check. The cover only shows voltage, but not what is powered by the fuse.

drivers side daytime running light works fine but can't get any power to the passenger side. I checked the passenger side bulb and fuse and they are both good.
    I am stumped.

If the fuse was blown the stop lights on both sides would be inop, also if the stop light circuit were dead u would be unable to get the trans out of park, use a 12 volt test light and test the brake light switch at the top of the brake pedal, u can buy a test light from Autozone, kragen and others for about $5 US. If the system has power cjheck the bulb socket it may be defective, use the 12 volt test light while someone pushes the brake pedal. let me know what u find and i will give u further assistance as ness.

I am trying to figure out which fuse to change or is it a relay. Nothing in the owners manual or the under the hood fuse boxes is labeled clearly.

Andrae, If it is just the right rear signal not working, re check the bulb and wires to the socket, signal bulb should have 2 filaments. When you put emergency flasher on do both tail lights flash, .

Over time corrosion can accumulated and rust out a tail light socket and render it non-functioning. Yes it can be replaced and in your case for about $6.00. You can find these at most any auto parts store.

My driver and passenger side brake lights are not working but the center brake light on the rear door works fine. The fuses and bulbs seem to be fine. Any ideas?

I would try changing the bulbs even if they seem fine. Usually when bulbs burn out both sides go at the same time.

check your wiring and the ground on the light. also check the connection where the bulb goes into the socket for any thing that would stop it from having a good connection.

I have a 2004 dodge durango and the interior lights will not go off while driving, the rear hatch light will not turn out at all. The doors are not ajar and the interior switches are all shut off but they...

take it to a dealer. you need a CCN (cabin compartment node) also known as a instrument cluster, it controls you dome lights. good news they had a recall on the durangos for this problem and even if the recall was done it should still be covered assuming im right about the cause... (i work at a dodge dealer and i have seen it a few times)
