Fuel pump runs continously. Where are the relays?

Clock also reset itself to 1200! No check engine light showing.

The ralay should be in the under hood relay box or under the steering colum in a fuel box. the fuel relay seem to be bad and the oil pressure is keeping the pump running.

Possible no inertia switch. See the ens in diagram, that is accidental shutoff signal. You have impact sensors. I'd have to check applicable trouble codes?
It might be possible to use jumper wire on load side of fuel pump relay, to see if fuel pump will run. The load side of fuel pump relay is the right side, looks like open switch, see the terminal numbers. If the fuel pump will run, jumping those terminals, the problem is on control side of relay, voltage or ground. You have a fuel pump driver module and the fuel pump itself, I couldn't get everything in one picture.

Engine runs 15 or so will shut off and starts when cool. Replaced fuelfilter and fuel pump relay. still does the same thing.

If you don't have any check engine warning light on your dashboard relating to EGR system means it has to be the FUEL PUMP according to you fuel pump relay and fuel filter was replaced but the most common cause by that is fuel verify have you try to install Fuel Pressure Tester to a fuel line it might not be the specified psi while observing the tester a several minutes tester shows it dropping down the pressure till it shut off by itself.

Where is the reset button for the fuel pump

Only Fords have them. Check for power on the fuel pump wire at the gas tank connector with the engine being cranked over. If power there, and no pump action, the pump has failed. If no power, find and check the fuel pump relay - under the hood in the fuse/relay block. First, see if the power feed to the relay is good. One of the terminals that the relay plugs into will have a "hot at all times" power signal. Use a grounded test light, key off, and probe all the terminals-one should show power-will light up the test light.

No power to fuel pump

If the old fuel pump failed, it may have blown a fuse or damaged a relay, so check those first. Your owner's manual should show where to find them. Usually, you can borrow a relay from another circuit for testing purposes.

Then, you need to determine if the wire from the engine compartment to the fuel pump is receiving power. A $3 test lamp with thin probes at each end should answer that question. While the engine is cranking, touch one end to what should be a "hot" connection and the other end to a good ground -- if the lamp lights, you've got juice.

If the wire has power, then check connections at the fuel pump that may have been mis-wired or come loose. If you have to remove the fuel pump to do this, hook it up directly (and briefly) to your battery to see if it runs ... even brand-new fuel pumps have been known to be defective.

If you're satisfied that the wiring, pump, connectors, fuses and relays are all OK, then the engine computer probably isn't activating the fuel pump relay for reasons best known to itself. Assuming the computer itself is receiving power (check fuses and relays), then you'll need to do some systematic electrical diagnosis, since there are many sensors that influence the computer's decision-making process.

Your best bet is to find an online forum for your truck. Since it's such a popular vehicle, there's likely to be many forums ... with other people who have encountered similar problems, and solved them. A factory service manual also may help to troubleshoot electrical problems.

P0230 - Fuel Pump Primary Circuit Malfunction Symptoms - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light) Possible causes - Blown Fuel Pump fuse
- Open Fuel Pump Monitor Circuit
- Faulty Fuel Pump Relay
- Damaged ECM. P0230 Description The Engine Control Module (ECM) provides ignition positive voltage to the coil side of the fuel pump relay. When the ignition switch is first turned ON, the ECM energizes the fuel pump relay, which applies power to the fuel pump. The ECM enables the fuel pump relay as long as the engine is cranking or running, and crankshaft reference pulses are received. If no crankshaft reference pulses are received, the ECM de-energizes the fuel pump relay after 2 seconds. The ECM monitors the voltage on the fuel pump relay control circuit.

Cant find it,1990 gm k2500,fuel pump relay,fuel pump is always running

Do you mean it's running when the engine is not running, key off? If so I've never heard of that happening. If you mean key on engine off that's common in older vehicles the check valve in the fuel pump wears out and causes continous pump running. Normally it's not a problem. Hope this helps.
