Receiving door ajar indication on 2003 Lincoln Navigator
The door ajar indicator is constantly on, but no door is open. The cabin lights also remain on. All fuses were checked satisfactorily. Could it be the switch /relay for the doors, and if so how do you check them in a 2003 Lincoln Navigator.

Sounds like you have a Faulty Door Switch. When you open the door there is a Small Button on the Side closest to the Inside of the Truck. Push this in with your Finger and see if they don't go off. Some of these are Movable so you can adjust them in and out.

it sounds like you have a door ajar switch issue if it says "door open" when it's not. Is it clicking in the passenger rear door or in the storage area behind the rear seat behind the right trim panel?
The liftgate wiring may be back there.
Your door lock & unlock relays are in the vehicle security module which is under the center area of instrument panel.
I looked at the wirng diagram and don't see too much back there.
Let me know what you find on where the clicking is coming from.
We'll go from there
I had this problem on my 2003 explorer and took WD40 and gave the lock mechanism a good dose where it meets the clasp on the door jam. Then open and close the doors a couple of times to get them working. They get gummed up and sometimes have a tendency to stick.
I have the same problem with my passenger door all the time. The dealer was nice and didn't charge me for some advice. Find out which door it is or do this to all. It is the part on the door the grabs the round thing in the door jam. It looks like two fingers kinda. Spray with WD-40 and clean with a rag to get all the dirt out of there. Spray again and open and close the door several times. This clears my problem and I hope this helps you too.
