Question about 2001 Ford Windstar
I have a 2001 ford windstar sel mini van. The engine light stays on. I was told by an auto repair shop that the code is PO171, the number 1 sensor under the manifold needs to be replaced. I need to know how to replace it.
Hi, it is very easy to change but have go repair shop, first when u get sensor, they have to heat the sensor with gas light that use in welding, the neck right from where it tied the manifold and put small engine oil, then start losing it, and dont forget to remove the battery terminal when doing the work, when it lose then disconect the wire that is connected to the point where it is connected and fix the new one by tieting it firmly to the position and fix back the wire and battery head and start the car u will see that the check engine light is gone
