Question about 1996 Chevrolet Blazer

Roll over valve problems

I have a 1996 chevy blazer 4.3l 4wd. I just replaced the fuel pump due to the wonderful Haynes manual not telling me that the rollover valve was in the front of the tank i broke it dropping the tank. I replaced the roll over valve now it leaks fuel from the rollover valve area when we fill it up. Did i miss something on installation. this has a spring washer that keeps it locked into place after installation. can anyone tell me why this is leaking fuel.

Hello;
There is an o-ring for a seal on the end of the tube. It is either missing or cut. Replace the o ring and make sure the end is smooth. Should fix your leak.

Where is my fuel pump relay on a 1996 chevy blazer? I changed out my fuel pump and the blazer still will not start

Its in the fuse panel under the hood the cover will tell you where it's located.You also may need to replace the crankshaft speed senser,if it's gone the relay won't work.If you listen and hear no fuel pump running when the key is first turn on then it may be a relay issue or the wireing to the fuel pump.

I have a 1996 chevy blazer replaced the fuel and

No, the fuel pressure valve may be stuck open so that the fuel pressure is too low when you start up, but the pump keeps up after the engine starts...
The fuel pressure valve is draining the fuel back into the fuel tank when the Blazer is parked.

Your fuel pump is located inside your fuel tank. You need to drain and remove the fuel tank to replace it.
