Question about 2000 Dodge Intrepid
My 2000 intrepid was stuck in a snow drift and i tried rocking it out. That didnt work, so later on i had it pulled out and now it will go in forward, but not reverse. Do i need a new transmission or can my transmission be fixed?? a friend of mine just also informed me that she knows of someone who had this same problem and they just put the car in a heated garage for awhile and whatever was frozen in the transmission melted out and it was fine...could that be my problem? what is the likeliness that it will be that easy to fix??

Having it scanned for codes now, may catch something before it's too late. Only other thing I might try is disconnecting battery for a few minutes, then re-attach, and try then.

Park the car on a flat surface, free of traffic put the chains around the tire with the hooks at the front. Back up the vehicle a quarter a tire turn and stop and do up inside hook first, then outside. Remember chains wear out so only use them in the worst of conditions, but they do enhance your traction by 500%
