No power to Horn, lights, blinkers, ac and heater on 99 Passat V6

Everything just went out at once. I checked the fuses and all are fine. I went out the next morning and everything was working as normal. Later that afternoon all went out again and is still out. Could this be a relay switch problem? Is this common on this year and model?

I own a 1998 Passat 1.8 turbo. I'm experiencing the exact same problem. Only mine never worked the next day. Did anyone submit a solution for this problem?

there was a recall on the hazard switch which is in the dash this has a relay in it. Check that first the dealership should replace it free of charge.

It could be your convenience control module. I had issues with my interior lights, alarm, windows, etc. All of that is controled by the ccm. In my car, 1999 passat sedan, it was located under the driver's feet. So I pulled up the carpet and the wire splices going into it were corroded. So I cut them and respliced. Problem solved.

04 grand cherokee limited. Started at home fine. Got to gas station and filled up, went to re-start and it clicked once with no restart. Power is fine(lights, radio, power windows, horn) everything works....

You might want to check the starter if you can try tapping it hard with something then try to start it again if it starts then all you need to do is have it changed out if nothing happens then you might also want to check and see if there is a broken fuse link going to the starter I know some vehicles have a fusible link in line with the starter it acts as a fuse but looks like a wire it will burn in half interrupting the voltage to the starter and like you stated everything else will work lights radio horn but the starter will not turn over hope this helps you.

i would check your fuses because the lights and horn are most of the time on the same fuse but it sounds like you may have a cut wire to the starter youll have to trace the wire and check it

Cabin air filter is plugged. Replace and vacuum out housing. The smell is coming from the fan which is being over worked.

Power windows and ac/heater went out.

Sounds like some major wiring issues', Does the Car not get driven much? If a mouse got in the engine compartment its very possible that they could've chewed threw the wires, Check the Fuses, and also the connections in the Fuse Block and at the connections to the accessories, then also check the relays, if nothing shows up either in the engine compartment or in the passenger compartment you will have to go through the wiring harness'

Hi,

I suggest you check the main relays - any auto electrician should be able to find a faulty relay.

Safe motoring.
