The easist way to do this is to wait for the engine to be cool disconnect bottom radiator hose and allow all the fluid to come out (Use a big bucket if you can or it gets messy), remember to take off the radiator cap first. THen, start the car for a few seconds allowing a bit more to come out. Then attach hose again. Put in your flush stuff for the radiator if you want to or just use straight water. Repeat this procedure about 5 times until all the water is clear. Then try to get all the water out, then refill with a 50/50 radiator fluid solution. Allow car to cool down, then, take cap off and fill more, drive for 10mins watching temp. Allow car to cool again, check level and top off if necessary, then allow to cool then check overfill container and fill to maximum line for cool.

There you go!

Have a Happy New Year!

Make sure your fluid is up in the radiator. Check your thermostat. It could not be operating properly Has the radiator been flushed lately? A dirty rad will do that
Is the water pump working right and check all rad hoses making sure they are not buckled.

Location of radiator fan relay switch 2000 mercury marquis

Look to see if there is an unmarked access panel near the top of the radiator fan. Remove the screws and lift it up. The switch & harness connection is underneath. This is where Ford hid the fan switch in the Taurus. I may be there for the Marquis as well. Good luck.

Think it is 0.54 but not positive. It should be listed in the back of your owners manual.
