Dont bid on cars with these lights on specially if you know little about cars. these lights will make you spend significant amount if you dont know how to fix yourself.

Whats my problem?

Sounds like you got a short in the ignition switch bare wire sound like to me. Depending on the model you may have to remove the steering wheel to access the key module then look for a bare wire tape it up if you can.

Why would 2001 Escape fails to start?

Inertia sensor could be tripped cutting off power to the fuel pump. That is if the engine is cranking. Reset button is behind one of the front floor kick panels.

If engine does not crank, check Brake lights. If the lights are out, then a safety switch on the brake pedal lever is loose or broken.

2001 ford escape makes a hissing and high pitched squealing sound when the brake pedal is released?

You need to have the brakes inspected. This noise is the brake pad wear warning tab hitting the brake rotor.;

My 2001 ford escape runs fine when idling but when in drive it wont go over 20 and i have no brakes

This sounds like you have a major air leak on the engine's Induction manifold. The depression caused assists the braking system by servo assistance. The air leak will also radically decrease the engine performance too. Look under the hood and listen for a loud hissing noise. It could be a broken vacuum pipe or a defective PCV valve. If you locate a problem. repair the offending item and retest the vehicle. Hope this helps..

2001 ford escape.. oil light comes on when at a stop and in drive. when i give it the gas the light turns off. i checked my oil,brake,coolant and tranny fliuds and are all fine????? no funny sounds????

this light is indicating your engine has low oil pressure sensed at idle, have the oil pressure checked with a special mechanical oil gauge, if the oil pressure checks ok then just replace the oil pressure sending unit, do this ASAP, if u do really have low pressure u can damage the engine bearings, a very expensive fix.

Sounds like an air leak possibly, check all your vaccum lines that go into the intake manifold.

2001 Ford Escape - Bucking Engine

You need to tow this car to a service station almost immediatly, depending on what exactly is wrong you could be further damaging the vehicle. With the description you give it could be a whole mess of things but i would start with your fuel system. Have your fuel pump looked at and your injectors as well. this could also be as simple as a bad batch of gas/ water in the gas but it would not really explain why the problem ocours at higher rpms like that. Hope this helps
