The horn should beep once. This tells you that you're now in programming mode.
Press the Unlock button, then press Lock again. The horn will beep once to tell you that Auto Lock was deactivated. It will beep twice if you're reactivating the system
There are many ways, I'm not sure which one will work on your car. I answered the two ways. I hope it works.
1. Open the driver's door and put the shifter in Park 2. Turn the ignition to On (II). 3. Press and hold the unlock side of the master lock switch for five seconds until you hear two clicks. 4. Within five seconds, turn the ignition to the Lock position.
holdboth the lock and unlosk buttons on your remote simultaneously for about five seconds until the lights flash and horn chirps.that should do it.if not i believe these models used a separate horn for security system.possibly fuse for this horn is bad or the horn itself is bad.to see if this horn works lower drivers window.stand outside vehicle and lock doors with remote.wait about a minute and reach in window and MANUALLY unlock and open door(do not use power door lock button)this should cause the system to activate...horn should beep and headlamps should flash.if horn beeps try my first suggestion.if it doesnt beep and just the head lamps flash check fuses and horn for security system.
try this one. hold both lock and unlock buttons for about 10 seconds. the truck should beep and the light should flash twice. that switches alarm modes from quiet to loud/on and wiseversa.( hope i spelled that one right).
Sounds like the button in the master switch, as all power must go through there. Also open door and between the door and jamb there will be a harness wiggle that while trying us the lock button, wires are known to brake there.
