DOT 3 should be fine but, DOT4 will work with anything.

SOURCE: I would like to know

Any brake fluid will work, water will work, but it will rust. The fluids now days are set to standards, there are good fluids out there, but not really worth the extra money. Girling used to be used on foreign cars back in the 60's, haven't seen any around lately. I think some big fancy sports cars have a special brand, they recommend only use this or else, so if it says so, buy it, and use it. Hope this helps.

Check the fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir. If it is low then the system has a leak or the brake friction material has worn down. Have the brake system checked at a shop when in doubt.

Its under the hood, in front of the driver. Make sure you put "brake fluid " in it. NOTHING ELSE.

Check for power to the brake light switch at the brake pedal and for power coming from it with brake pedal depressed.

I have a 1993 Mazda 626 LX five speed, and my clutch pedal will not go back up. I have pumped it like for 10 minutes, and I can not get into gear. Please help.

Have you checked the clutch master cylinder for fluid? First place I would look. If you don't know what it looks like, it will be next to the fire wall drivers side- looks like a brake master cylinder, but smaller. Just use plain brake fluid in it.
