Question about 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan

Open Question

How do you get the sound for a factory DVD system to be heard thru the wireless headset, not thru the radio speakers?

We have the wireless headsets that were given to us with the van when we bought it. The batteries have been replaced and the headsets turn on. When we press the headset button on the DVD Remote we see the headset symbol appear on the console screen. But we only hear silence and occassionally static thru the headsets when scanning on the headsets.

SOURCE: 2005 dodge caravan, factory dvd... no sound through speakers

it wont work thru the factory stereo unless it was setup that way. Did you call daimler/chrysler? They should be able to tell you how the system works or u can check the owners manual if you have it.

Go to the engine fuse module and check 20A fuse 5 which feeds power to the separate amplifier and subwoofer amplifier. Also check 10A fuse 3 which feeds power to the radio, the CD changer, and the rear integrated control panel.

The power output stages in many circuits are comprised of a module containing both or more channels and this may have failed. The low level signal for headphones is normally picked off before it reaches the input of the final module.

2005 dodge caravan, factory dvd... no sound through speakers

My grandcarvan sxt came with a remote for the DVD system and wireless headphones from KOSS. You have to press the headphone button on the remote to change it to headphones otherwise it comes through the main system. With the button pressed we can listen to cd or radio in front while they wear the headphones in back. You might need the remote to change it back to main system. The headphones from Koss are lifetime guaranty and not too expensive.

Headset for 2006 Volvo XC90 DVD player

If the car is certified and the dvd player is factory the system is required to work to pass certification.

First, Look in the owners manual to make sure your doing it right.

Second, go back to the dealership and see your salesman, they should be happy to get it fixed for you.

Third, take it to the service department. The car is certified, so when the policy takes effect the service department will fix it for whatever the deductible is.

Fourth, Call Volvo customer relations and tell them about your issue.

Hope this helps.

well on mine, I have to turn off the sat. radio before the kids can watch dvd and I can only listen to radio or cd while they watching dvd. I don't even know if you are able to listen to dvd through them speakers, because it came with headsets. I know I am not big help, but I think you have to change something on the front radio. If nobody else can answer your question, than I will look tomorrow to see how I turn on my dvd player and tell you what I have to push.

Sorry
