Question about 1999 Saturn SL
I have a 1998 Saturn that has ran perfect up until the last couple weeks. It started with a squealing serpintine belt. I replaced that. It still sqeals, and then last night every light on my car went just about completely out and none of my gauges are working besides the gas gauge. The MPH, tach, and thermometer all read as though the car is off even while driving. The car also doesn't seem to have the same amount of power it did a week ago.
If its still squealing after you have replace the belt, it is likely that one of the idler or tensioner pulley bearings have went out. You can pull the belt off and then try and wiggle the idler and tensioner pulleys and if any of them have wobble in them then that is the one that needs to be replaced.
