Abs and brake lights on is a warning that your car has some issues related to the braking system. fix it first.

you got to bring it to a dealer or certified auto technician to diagnose the problem, you need a scan tool to determine the particular problem. yes your brake shall work fine but then these abs and brake warning lights are designed for occupants safety so dont take this for granted.

ok trace your brake lines from master cylinder going to abs and lines going out of abs to the wheels, check for loose wires and dislocated valve mountings, check brake linings and pads if you still have enough, if its low, replace it, then try this.... with your ignition key in on position, remove the fuse for hazard, turn the key off, then remove negative battery terminal and let it sit for 5 minutes then connect the negative terminal and put back the fuse for hazzard. everything shall be reset including your clock and other preset radio stations, (take note of that) then try if the lights are still on with the car running. follow these instruction carefully. dont jump from one procedure to the other. good luck!

Anti lock brakes are disabled. you need to have the car scanned to see which ABS sensor is causing the problem. you can check all the wheels and see if the abs wire going to one of the sensors was ripped out by road debris or ice chunks. you have to look behind each wheel to do this. easier with the wheels off, just follow the wiring and inspect for problems.

SOURCE: ABS and Check Engine Lights on

This could be the case, Car computers don't like being started other than how it was suppose to be started, You will need an error code reader just to confirm there are no problems with the engine then you can clear any stored error codes which will turn off any lights you have on.

SOURCE: toyota yaris brakes how do you bleed the brakes on a toyota yaris

have someone pump the pedal and hold it, then you work from the right rear, left rear, right front, left front, while the person pumps and holds several times at each wheel.

Abs warning light on and handbrake not working

It sounds like one or both of of your rear brakes is dragging or partially seized up.this would cause the ABS light to register. To fix the problem it will require you to service the brakes by freeing up the parking brake and getting everything moving again.Use a lubricant for brakes.Check the rear brake lining as they may be worn from being partially on.Make sure the caliper assembly is also moving freely and doesn't need replacing. This is of course if you are handy with a set of tools. If you haven.t done this kind of work before take it in and have it looked at.Brake work is either 100% correct or dangerously wrong.Good Luck

2010 Toyota Yaris ABS and Traction Control light are on and a loud scraping noise is coming from the front end.

Could be a collapsed wheel bearing or maybe just the brake pad warning mechanism. I would suggest you get it to a garage asap.

I HAVE JUST PURCHASED Toyota Yaris 1.0l reg FE52 ACV. Question;- does the car have ABS

a easy way to tell for sure is to turn ur steering wheel to the left ur left front wheel will be pointing out, look between the tire and the inner fender well.dont forget a light. u will see a black rubber hose from the body of the car to the brake caliper it is about 1 foot long an around a half inch thick..this is the brake hose..now if u have abs there will also be a thin black wire from the body of the car connected almost in the center of the part where the brake hose is connected this is ur abs electrical wire...some people will tell u to turn the car to the run position( when all the lights r on on the dash board) but if ur abs light is burnt out u wont know for sure

The ABS light comes sometimes no warning .No effects to brakes evident so why the sensor acting in this manner

The warning light indicates there is a problem with the ABS which, if needed (as in a skid), will prevent the ABS from properly funtioning. This usually does not affect the routine operation of the vehicle. Should have it serviced -- a common cause for this warning light is a malfunctioning wheel sensor -- but there are other causes as well.
