When I turned it off last night the tail lights and running lights came on and wouldnt turn off. When I tried to start car it wouldnt start. took a while to jumpstart then when it did head and tail lights wouldn't turn on. turned car off and on a couple times and they came on and so did VDC and Slip lights on dash came on and stayed on. Got home fine and now this morning car clicks, dashlights come on but car doesnt start. We did have a HUGE rain storm yesterday. What could be happening?
It sounds like maybe the starter solenoid is defective, they are prone to this type of problem and your description exactly fits. In order to repair this you must remove the starter from the car and either replace it or repair it with a new solenoid.

sounds like water ingress to either a control module or the coil pack, check all control box locations eg footwells for water and then check the engine bay for loose or naked wires, dry and clean and possibly cover with a plastic bag etc and it should be fine.

First thing to do is clean your battery cables. Remove the cables and clean them with a wire brush are battery terminal cleaner. If it starts up that was probably your problem. If you need to jump it you may have a bad charging system war battery. Good luck.
