Question about 1996 Chevrolet Lumina Mini
My DIL has a 96 lumina car. was driving drunk and somehow managed to ram a tree limb up under the car. has had transmission problems ever since. It does not shift correctly. Son, budding mechanic, tried fixing solenoid. not the problem. any ideas?
Look for bent linkage and broken/disconnected wires. Try to picture the path the limb followed on it's way to where you found it. This is not the usual "it wore out" problem... be creative in your thinking when checking. Bends can be subtle but enough to throw stuff out of adjustment!
