Take out the bulb and there u filments one for high beam light witch is the biggest one and the low beam is the one whit the smallest filment and if it dont go on when ur turn ur head lightsits blown and ull need to replace it

Tom, check your fuses/relay if OK, try changing the low beam bulbs.

They are controlled by the turn signal switch. Replace that.

Check that you have got the correct bulb for the one you replace . They both look the same but one has a single filiment for high beam only while the other will have 2 filiments for both high and low beam. If you are usin quartz halogen will be H1 the other will be H4

A loose ground wire to the headlight will keep it dim,Or a headlight adjustment will bring the headlight up.If you can have your headlight turned on a garage door or something at night,and then watch as you change your headlights from low beam to high beam which ones are higher.the last thing to verify is that your high beam headlights are not the plastic lens type that turn dull which cuts the light power.

Aztek 01 headlights going out.


Check for moister in the lamp head,and have the alternator checked,it should be from 13.65,to 14.25,volts only,any more,that will be the problem,also,if the alternator checks out ,with in range,have a mechanic check the alternator for ac voltage,if the alternator diode,or diodes,have gone out,it will produce some ac voltage,therefore blowing lamps,and eventually ignition components,and e c m.

How do I change the low beam bulb(drivers side) on 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix?


Upside down L shaped bracket that is bolted to frame just behind headlight assy. Unbolt bracket, lift bracket straight up to unlock headlight assy. Headlight assy should easlier fall forward to replace any of the 3 bulbs

Driver side light


Replace the fuse for low beam under the hood right side in fuse box and or low beam bulbs
