Question about 2005 Chrysler Pacifica
All lights and functions on the radio seem to work including the steering wheel controls. REPLACED THE AMP TWICE still no sound any ideas?
2001 town & country. My airbag/seat belt light came on, cruise control and horn stopped working. Dealer said it was the "clock spring" and usually covered as a recall item.

Check your fuses first, if it isn't a fuse it is not a do it yourself situation. The lincoln stearing wheel has a ton of electronics in it along with the air bag.

SOURCE: Check Engine Light
If the light isn't flashing, it is safe to drive. If it is flashing, then catalytic converter damage can result. Have a parts store check the codes for you and come back and post the code.

it is called a clockspring.
the other thing to check is that the rear part of the steering wheel is clearing the column shroud properly.
call a few places in your area and how much it is to change the clockspring.

The problem might have already been there, the steel wheels are making it noticeable, because they don`t cool down as quick. Most likely is the calipers sticking,or you have a set of high dollar brake pads on the vehicle, and they are heating the rotors up.The high dollar pads are a very hard composite pad witch produce a lot of friction, and heat as a sort of side affect.
