I just had my front hub assembly and tie rod replaced in my 2001 van. I had this professionally done because I don't have a the means to lift the van up. You can download the instructions and diagrams from Auto Zone. I went there first. Says if you have changed your breaks you can change your wheel hub. Hope this helps.

You will find that after you remove the hub, you will need to take it to someone with an engineering press to get the old one out and press the new one in.
Good luck

On my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 2WD, I just found out that I have to change the front hubs if I want to replace the front wheel bearings. How insane is that! What can I do to have a front hub that I can...

buy an older truck to answer question all newer model vehicles have gone to a hub/flange bearing assembly these bearing setups handle loads without or very minimum variance, when you go into a cornering situation these bearing setups give you a steady and consistent track thus a better handling vehicle now instead of cleaning and repacing tose old cone and race style bearings you just unbolt hub assembly and any related abs sensors and bolt on new

I replaced hub on front axel but the noise is

It sounds like it is a front end suspension problem. The following should be checked: upper and lower ball joints, the sway bars links, and even the shocks. Replace what is problematic, and your front-end noise should disappear, if it is a front suspension problem. Hopefully, this will FixYa problem!

I need to replace my front wheel bearings and I was looking for a step by step instructions along with pictures show the parts?

You can't just replace the bearings. You've got to replace the entire wheel hub (thank you genius engineers at Chevy). My driver side front wheel was rubbing the frame and the hub cost around $350 plus $150 labor.

Replacing a rear wheel bearing Hub on a 2001 celica 190?

I had this same problem myself. The hub is a sealed unit and must be purchased as a whole assembly to the tune of around $400 from Toyota. Long story short I never replaced my hub. The problem turned out to be tires that were worn out. I figured that out when i rotated the tires and the sound moved to the front of the car... Go figure. Replaced the tires and all the noise went away.
