Abs light on at 15 mph

It could be a sign of a sensor going bad or the teeth on one of the axles has some that are broken. It might cause an error at slower speeds and clears when you go faster,

Abs light brake light on not shifting

look under the truck at the ****** and check the wiring to the sensors if good may be a bad sensor, also check the wiring and connections to the abs wheel sensors [ located from frame to the hub behind the rotors ] the abs also acts as speed sensor if problem was with an abs sensor at the[ hub] wheel usually set the brake system to normal power brakes [if u hit brakes hard will lock up or skid wheels] with the abs light coming on if the speed sensor at ****** malfunction can and usually causes shift problems

At 45mph the ABS and the brake light illuminate on the dash. When truck is shut off and restarted the symbols clear until 45 mph is reached again then symbols come back on.

You have an ABS Fault Code

So have it diagnosed and repaired

Does not matter if it comes on & goes off,
you still have issues that need to be resolved

After driving my 1997 jimmy for 20 kms the abs lite comes on and stays on

It sound like a wheel sensor. Down under the brakes on all four tires there should be a wire that goes in by the hub. This is a magnetic sensor that reads a gear connected to the rotating assembly of the hub. It counts the teeth on the gear as they go by and turns this information into something your on board computer can read. If it thinks one tire is spinning faster than the other, it believes you are losing traction and activates traction control if you have it. It also works when braking. If you go form 30 mph to 0 instantly, it know that the tires are locked up and you are sliding. If there is no read from this sensor, it triggers the abs light. Please check this sensor and the wiring to it.

My truck starts normal. the speedotemeter does

well it seems like there is a wire under your steer column that is rubbed through and being touched when you hit the brakes, or with the slowing down of gravity a wire is bare wire is moving forward and hitting ground.

Brake light & ABS light on, speedo problem

I recently had the same problem on my 99 dakota R/T. My symptoms included the abs and brake light staying lit, speedo failing to work at all speeds and the truck would occassionally stall when coming to a stop. I ended up replacing the rear abs speed sensor (on top of the rear diff) and all is well now. The truck runs exactly as it should. You are looking at a $30-$35 dollar part.

ABS brakes shudder

YOU NEED A SCANNER TO MONITOR THE WHEEL SPEED SENSORS. THE ABS IS SENSING A SKID AND THE ABS IS ACTIVATED WHEN THIS HAPPENS. THERE MAY BE A CODE FOR THE HUB THAT IS CAUSING THE ABS TO ACTIVATE.

CHECK THE WIRES FROM THE SENSORS FOR BREAKS OR CHAFFING. AN OHM READING OF THE SENSOR SHOULD BE 850-1200 OHMS, AND AND A-C VOLTAGE READING SHOULD BE 100 MV WITH YOU TURNING THE WHEEL BY HAND.

My abs light and trac off light are both on

Def the wheel bearings/hub/speed sensor. I just bought a new wheel bearing comes with the hub and speed sensor as one. Runs about 80-100 dollars though but abs/traction light went off and stays off now.
