Fuel pump replacement

In the midst of dropping fuel tank on '93 Blazer S-10. The only connections left hooked up are 3 brass/copper lines going into top of tank. I was wondering if I have to disconnect these lines first or if I can somehow twist the ring where the hoses go into the top of tank and drop the tank that way. I'll have to get that ring off anyway to get to the pump, so any help in that regard would be appreciated.

As long as you have already disconnected the rubber hosing from the metal lines you can continue with dropping the tank. Good luck!

It is possible to do it that way but difficult and as you stated the ring has to come off to get to the pump which would be much easier disconnecting lines..Just make sure you mark them to ease installation

Need to change fuel pump for 99 chevy blazer how do i do it and where is the fuel pump located

first you need to relive the fule system of pressure. do this by finding your fule pump relay disconecting it and start the car. it will sputer, this is reliveing fule pressure.once it stops sputering your ready to get the fule pump out. it is located in the fule tank. the tank is held on by 2 straps your going to have to take off. once you do that drop the tank and the pump will be on top of it.

Cannot start my S-10. Found water in fuel tank year ago. The problem?

probally rust in the tank that's clogged the pickup filter in the tank or the fuel filter. or if you're in a cold climate, gas could be frozen too.

Fuel Pump

You will have to drop your fuel tank. This can be difficult if you don’t have a floor jack and some help. Removing the filler neck and fuel lines are usually the hardest. A couple of thing to remember are to use open end wrenches to loosen fuel line fittings and not to let the tank down to far before disconnecting the wires. Expect to spend 3 to 4 hours if you haven’t done this before.

Won't stay running

sounds like fuel delivery, sometimes check valve in fuel pump will quit working and fuel will drain back into tank, or pin hole in one of fuel lines, check fuel pressure
