Ok Michael, this is just a reminder that your car is due for oil change or some other service, you can reset this by just pushing the key in the slot next to the indicator on the dash. If left alone, it will eventually turn red. It changes as the mileage increases, it actually isn't a light, just a colored indicator that changes mechanically as mileage racks up, not anything electronic that would 'sense' or 'read' anything. So, stick the key in the slot, and u will reset it.

Is 2010 equinox trailer wiring the same as a2009 equinox

No the wiring system changed to a 2-wire system. You actually wouldn't need a specific harness. You could purchase a 4-flat connecter (at least 60" long) and directly splice it in behind your tail lights. The 4-flat will have 4 colors
Yellow-Left turn/Stop Green- Right turn/Stop Brown-Running Lights White-Ground
The Equinox wiring colors are quite similar. I will list the 4-flat color first-and then the Equinox color.
Driver side behind the taillight. Yellow-Yellow/Black Brown-Brown White-Black
Passenger Side Green-Green/Black

Towing light problem on wiring them up.

It looks like there could be a service bulletin to fix this.

TO: ALL TOYOTA DEALER PRINCIPALS,
SERVICE MANAGERS, PARTS MANAGERS
SUBJECT: SPECIAL SERVICE CAMPAIGN 10H
(2000 TUNDRA AND 1999 - 2000 TACOMA TRAILER TOWING WIRE HARNESS
CONVERTER REPLACEMENT)
Toyota will initiate a Special Service Campaign to replace the Toyota Trailer Towing Wire Harness
Converter (converter) on certain 2000 model year Tundra and 1999 - 2000 model year Tacoma
vehicles equipped with a genuine Toyota Trailer Towing Hitch or Bumper Hitch. This accessory
is included in the Towing Hitch Kit installed at ports (PIO) and by dealers (***); it is also sold by
dealers as an over-the-counter or service part.
An electrical short or open circuit can cause a fault in the genuine Toyota Trailer Towing Wire Harness
Converter (converter). This can cause a failure of the converter, and if a trailer is being towed at the time,
non-operation of the trailer lights. In limited cases, the converter housing could become heat-deformed.
In the case of the Tundra, the circuitry utilized in the converter was inadequate to properly manage
vehicle and/or trailer-side voltage spikes. If the converter is exposed to a voltage spike it may cause an
electrical short or open circuit within the converter.
As for the Tacoma, due to deficient waterproofing and improper installation location of the converter,
which is mounted in the lower portion of the taillight cavity of the vehicle, an electrical short circuit will
occur if water enters the converter housing.
The following vital information is provided to inform you and your staff of the campaign notification
schedule and your degree of involvement.
1. Owner Notification Letter Mailing Date
The owner notification will be conducted in two phases:
• The first phase will be launched in late August and involve vehicles equipped with port
installed (PIO) genuine Toyota Towing Hitch Kits.
• The remaining vehicle owners, whose vehicles may be equipped with a dealer installed (***)
genuine Toyota Trailer Towing Wire Harness Converter, will be notified in the second phase
to be launched in early September.
We have attached copies of the owner notification letters for your reference.
If you are contacted by an owner of an involved vehicle, who has not yet received a notification,
please verify eligibility through TDN or TIS, inspect the vehicle to assure it is equipped with the
affected part, and perform repairs as outlined in the attached Technical Instructions.

The maintence colors what does the change of colors mean

It's just a reminder to have to have the car serviced. It changes from green (ok) to yellow (service soon) to red (time for service). Use your key to reset it to green by inserting the key into the slot on the dash. Or just ignore it. It changes by the amount of mileage driven and is just a reminder.

Green lights on start up

You should have 3 green 2 yellow and 1 red. This is your maintenance indicator. When the 1 (last) green light goes out and a yellow light comes on its time for a service. The shop will reset the lights for you after the service is completed. If you do the service yourself and like to work on your own car you can buy a service light reset tool here. http://www.eurosportdesign.com/c-5-reset-tools.aspx?gclid=CPnumom1_pcCFRKLDQodkTwFDQ The R5B tool is the one you will need. It's on sale right now.

Battery or radiator light on a 1999 BMW 318i SE

The below is taken from another site written a year ago:
What you are looking at is the Service Indicator. The green, yellow and red lights let you know when service needs to be performed. The green lights mean everything is still good. The yellow lights mean "anytime you're ready." The red lights mean do the service ASAP. There are also two other lighted areas. One says "inspection," the other says "oil change" (or oil service.) An oil change is an oil change. However, there are two inspections: Inspection 1 is normally at every other 15,000 miles; Inspections 2 is at every 30,000 miles. Your local BMW dealer should have a pamphlet listing all duties performed for each of the services. Inspection 2 can run you around $400-$800 depending on the service station/dealership's labor rates. Inspections 1 should be around 1/2 of that. You should have your oil changed about every 5000 miles. Dealership oil changes can range from $35-$65. A BMW that is well taken care of will last a long time.

FYI, don't be surprised if the SI (service indicator) board decides to **** out one day. I'm surprised to see yours is still working (they usually die within 10 years unless someone went thru the expense to have it replaced.) If/when it does go, just gauge your services by the mileage intervals I've listed above. I'd also recommend when you stop into (or just call) the dealership, go to the parts department and order an owner's manual for your BMW. Should be less than $20 and get to you in about a week unless they have one in stock.
When the service tech has performed the necessary service(s), he will reset your SI board so that only green lights are showing.
