Sounds like resistor/wiring connector issue..located on right side under wiper cowl above right front strut tower..connector usually corrodes and you have to replace resistor and connector

Dodge caravan air conditioning fan not blowing

I would turn the fan on with the van off and listen to see if just the blower is working at all or a slower speed. . If you have a volt meter you could make sure it was getting power by unplugging the wire to it and testing there.. If you have power then the blower motor is the problem . If it was a resister it would not work at all normally. or it would work on one speed but not another speed in most cases.. I would think by the age of it more likely a bad blower fan motor .the part is about 73 dollars to replace complete with fan and the resisters are 15-20 at your local auto parts store .
This could also be a wire harness issue with the resister plug which supplies the power to the blower . it very common that the wires got hot and melted from old age or from a blower that was old and drawing too much power .The resister and harness or located under the hood on the firewall of the passenger side of the van .Yes there is a fuse for the blower fan under the dash .If it has blown it could be the blower drawing too much power.or other issues .
Yes we sure do feel the heat here in Florida .

Replace Blower Resistor for 2000 Chrysler Town and Country

Dodge caravan heat fan won't work

If it is the fan/blower that is not working (as opposed to what is coming out is cold), then the problem could be 1) fuse 2) Blower Resistor. I just replaced the blower resistor in about 15 min with a $25 replacement resistor. The unit is right behind the glove box.

If the problem is that the air coming out is cold and not hot, then the thermostat, radiator, heater core, etc... are the more likley causes.

The front a/c blower does not work, all fuses are good. please help

J, I am sending you some info to read but it appears that the most likely cause is the blower motor relay. Give the following notes a read and if you need some more help give me a buzz... Best of Luck..

Fuse is OK. Tests/Procedures: 1. At the blower motor, there is a Dark Blue wire. This wire should have battery voltage whenever the key is in the "on" position. Power for the blower motor comes from the blower relay.

2. Access the front blower relay, it is located on the driver's side under the dash, near the junction block. There will be four wires going to it. The Dark Green wire should have battery voltage all the time. The Dark Blue wire is going to the motor. The Black/Orange wire should have battery voltage with the key in the "on" position. The Black wire should be grounded at all times. On this circuit, the relay is energized whenever the key is in the "on" position. Potential Causes: Front Blower Relay
Front Blower Relay Wiring
Heater Ventilation Air Conditioner (HVAC) Control Head
Tech Tips: The front blower relay is located under the dash, on the driver's side. It may be necessary to remove the junction block (fuse and relay box) in order to see it. Diagnostic Codes: None

I have no heat in my 96 Dodge Caravan. I have tried testing the blower fan and it works, I have checked the fuse it is fine, I have replaced the resister, and I still have no juice going to the inside fuse...

should be a blower motor relay inside fusebox under hood....try swapping it with another of the same kind from same fusebox to see if that is the problem...there is usually a diagram to tell you which relay is for what and they are just plug ins....good luck....lee

I have a 2005 dodge caravan. the blower for the heater quit working . I tested it and I am not getting power to fan control switch .

There is 3 things you can check: the fuse, the relay switch, and the resister block. If these are ok, check the wiring from the blower to the fuse block, to the control switch. good luck.

You need to replace the AC speed control resistor. It is located near the blower motor on the passenger side behind the glove box insert.
