I have no rear brake lights on my 94 GMC Z71 4x4 but the third top brake light works-I assume seperate wire for the relay. Long story short, all turn signals, hazards, parking, reverse, running lights work. Checked fuses, replaced brake switch but still no luck. Any info for this? Thanks in advance.

did u check that they not burn?if not you should Check the wires going into the steering column if you don't have separate turn signal lights and brake lights because if they use the same bulb then the turn signal may be bad. If I remember correctly that particular car doesn't work this way, but I include it just in case.

I had the same problem with my 1999 Yukon. The electric board needed to be replaced. Rust starts to build up and shorts out or blows the bulb. The dealership charged $73.60 for the part and I installed it myself (Saved $30).

Suggest you change hazard flasher 'can' first, then go to the hazard switch. I'm betting it's the flasher can.

Had the taillights out a couple of times and all looked good but going to take them completely apart and clean and check sockets, wires and connection harness thourghly.
