Question about 1990 Toyota Celica
My 1990 toyota celica gts started to lose power, it would spit and sputter. When I take off its slow and if I go up a hill I lose power and speed. It runs fine once it gets to about 30-40 miles an hour. Going down a hill it runs fine. Back in Sept I had to have the timing belt replaces and since then I have had nothing but trouble. Before the power lose it was running hot, I had to replace a few hoses. Doesn't seem to run hot now but seems to be low on water somehow. The car now wont run no more than about 10-15 miles an hour if that. It takes forever to go in reverse, till yesterday (12-19) there was no problem with reverse. This problem started at the first of the week and had gotten worse (12-14/15)78 GMC High Sierra V8 350, loses power as well, when going uphill, or more than 50mph on highway, replaced all spark plugs and wires, oil change, when i got da truck (less than a month ago) , it had a new fuel pump, and new starter, not really sure why it does it, eventually it goes off but starts with no problem, any idea what it could be?
Try using a new battery, new battery terminals and connectors. Also check the relay and harness for the power output if there are lose or open connections that are being affected by shocks.
