Question about 2001 BMW 5 Series
Hi i have a humming noise when i sit in side the car when there is no power on and my rear drivers door button keeps poping up when i push it down to lock

This may be a problem with the actual door lock itself or the general module not sending an open signal to the lock

if you have a bmw 325i 2001 model try this solution:
if you have one key , go on to the next step. if you have more than one key, like two or more than follow this procedure.
step one: unlock the doors with your key and get in and close the doors but do not lock them
step two: put your key into the ignition and turn it but not to start the engine, do this less than 5 seconds
step three: take the key out of the ignition and put it near the shifter. press and hold the unlock button while pressing the lock button 3 times. you have 30 seconds to do this. the doors should lock and unlock automatically signalling that it the key has been reprogrammed. if you have more than one key follow those steps for each one except for step one. remmember you have only 30 seconds for each key. that should help you.

SOURCE: My car is a bmw
Check the battery, or you can reprogram the key yourself.
1. turn the key to on position in car and turn off within 5 sec.
2. hold the arm button (the big one in the center)
3. Press the unlock button three (3) times
4. release the arm button
5. turn key to on position and off within 5 sec.
