Probably air lock in the heater core. While engine running pull off heater return line and be ready to put it back on quickly, If air lock this will clear it and will show you if you have circulation. If this fails to solve the problem then you have a "door" control problem in you interior heater.

There should be a vac controlled valve on the heater hose near the firewall. If that valve fails, or something happens to the vac source, the valve will not open or close. I would check that valve and make sure it is working. Both heater hoses should be hot when the engine is warmed up.

Heater gauge or fan spped control? If you mean fan speed control, then it needs a new resistor pack. And it is usually located in the heater duct works.

Does it run LIKE it is overheating? (rough, high/low idle, etc.)? Have you recently had work done to the car, specifically the cooling system? Have you checked the overflow/surge tank to see if it is at the proper level? (check when cold). Does your heater work when it is 'overheating'? Possible reasons for your symptoms are (in no particular order) air in the system (improper filling of system when thermostats installed), improper installation of the thermostats, low coolant level, defective coolant sensor or a defective gauge. Blockage in the radiator, or heater core is another possibility.

My in heater in a 2007 grand prix doesnt work the air blows but isnt hot temperture gauge looks fine an have changed out thermostat

You have a plugged up heater core. Try pulling the heater hoses of where they go into the firewall, put a garden hose with a spray nozzle in one hose and gently flush the system out. you will need to pull both heater hoses off to do this.

The heater put out very little heat. also the temperture gauge moves very little. is this a bad thermostat. or could it be a bad heat control value.

If the Temperature gauge is moving less than before, its your Thermostat. If the Engine Temperature is the same, then your heat control valve is not opening or a duct flap(called a door) is not moving under the dash.

Having a Bad thermostat will affect how controls on the engine work and when they work.

when the level of coolant drops in the motor the heater core is the first to be without
because it sets up high
so you need to check the level
and check where the coolant is going
to make the level drop

1993 Jeep Wrangler heater/temperture gauge

if you are not showing a temp. reading ,you may need to replace the thermostat. as far as the draft goes your vent is probably stuck open. i also have a '93 with the same issue. i could not adjust the cable enough to close the vent so i removed the grill on the cowl in front of the windshield, the vent door is down and toward the left side (drivers side).if you can not push it closed to stay,i used a large piece of foam placed inside a plastic bag to block it. it has worked fine for almost 5 years.
