It depends on the area your in as to how much labor and parts are being charged.
here in waco tx. a factory installed exhaust would be around 600 - 800 dollars,a aftermarket exhaust would be about half that.

How much should a fuel pump and a fuel filter cost to replace in a '02 chevy malibu? my son was driving it and it just cut out and died. I tried restarting, and it turned over, caughed, sputtered, but did...

I would first make sure that fuel waas your problem by checking for pressure and how much you are getting. I am not sure what the average labor rate in your area is as it differs everywhere but the labor hours per my guide to replace both pump & filter is 2.8 hours. Make sure they go on and replace the screen at the pump if you are changing the pump. I hope this helped and good luck.

What is the labour time to install intake gaskets and the average cost of the parts

Dealer ship prices are labor $845 and parts $620 = $1465. Independant shop prices are labor $665 and parts $220= $885. Dealerships really get you on the parts.

How much will it cost for a mechanic to change oil pan gasket on my 1998 chevy blazer 4wd big v6 engine?

Gasket = $35 (permatex rubber)
Labor - my manual says 3 hours.
You'll have to be responsible for figuring out the labor price per hour depending on where you are located.
In MI, a garage is about $50/hr, and dealership = $85/hr
CA might be $95/$150/hr.

Parts are minimal on the job - its all labor.
Figure in about $20 for shop supplies... gasket remover, sealant, rags, etc.

Average costs

The labor is most expensive part of this repair.
On the 3.4 L V6 engine, the labor should be about 1 1/2 hours times the shop labor rate.
If the 4 cylinder, then the labor is much higher due to the location of the thermostat.
