Girlfriends buick rendezvous was vibrating when brake pedal was depressed. I changed out the rotors and it took all but very very slight vibration away. What else could it be??

When the rotors become warped from heat, they can cause glazing and uneven wear on the brake pads themselves. This is probably what you are feeling.

My Mitsubishi lancer ex is vibrating during 12okmph. I already did wheel alignment, wheel balancing but still giving me same problem. Please advise what is the solution it is 2011 model with 15,000klm...

I have a Mitsubishi lancer also and I found out after a discussion with the dealer service manager that a similar problem comes from warped front disc rotors. I noticed that there was a slight pulsing of the brake pedal at low speeds but the brakes worked as they should. I went to a brake specialist where I get all my clutch and brake parts and he informed that the genuine rotors are made of inferior metal and warp early in the service life. As they are not covered by warranty I bought after market discs of good quality and the problem went. What I am trying to say is that your low mileage problem is about the same as when mine started. If the disc rotors are warped then at speed the continuous touching of the pads will produce a vibration affect at high speed as at lower speed the vibration will be barely noticeable. Take the car to a reputable brake specialist and have him test the discs as to running true and are not warped.

I hear a clicking noise in the gear shift 6 speed manual

Is the clicking sound from the gear shift normal Kia Forum
Hello, what you are describing is a brake pulsation. This is caused by either a warped brake rotor or brake drum. This is normal for most all vehicles as the brakes wear, the rotors run hotter and the warp slightly. Since the brakes are in link with the axles, it is very possible to feel the vibration or hear a noise in the shifter, as well as steering wheel, or seat.If you have not done so recently, you need to have brakes checked. be advised, the pads can look good but rotors can still be slightly warped causing t he problem. Driving habits, worn pads etc can all contribute to warped rotors. The shop can either machine the rotors or they can be replaced. they are not much $ at all these days.

For the last few weeks been having a problem with my brakes whenever i press on my brakes there is a vibration that goes through my brake pedal? What could cause it to vibrate?

its possible that if you had the wheels off and put back on the wheel nuts are not tightened to the same torque, this can cause the vibration as it has caused a warpage in the rotors or drums.also the brake rotors or drums may just be warped on their own.

WHEN I BRAKE BY A STOP STREET WITH MY 325TI BMW, THEN THERE IS SOME VIBRATION ON THE BRAKE PADDLE

Sounds like you may have warped front rotors. They can be felt in the brake pedal when stopping. The warpage of the rotor actually pushes the caliper piston in and out which is felt by your foot. Another vibration you may feel is the ABS system coming on if there are poor road surfaces. That feels quite a bit different than a warped rotor.

Why is my brake pedal vibrating ? I had my brakes fixed and have new tires so what else could be causing the vibration ?

Two possible causes to the pulsing. Lets start with the least expensive first. Warped Rotors. Brake rotors/discs get extremely heated during braking and if you drive in the rain or drive through some standing water at the right time, the Heat and Cool cycle of the braking and then quenching by the water can cause the metal to warp. Even a slight warp will cause some vibration in the front end and a pulsing in the pedal. If the rotors havent been turned during the brake job or replaced I would look here first. The only way to determine is if the wheel is taken off and rotor visibly inspected. Second and most costly is the ABS Control module. Best way to explain is in a small box under your car in the middle by the drivers car door are 6 little plungers... to visualize think suction cups arranged like a 6 pack of coke. When you press your brake peddle in an ABS car these plunger open and close valves to in effect pump your brakes very very rapidly. ABS systems took the old 1970's pump the brakes and automated it. That helped prevent skids when people slammed on brakes during wet weather or accidents. They are controlled by a computer unit called a Control Module (Kelsey ABS Control for GM vehicles) when this starts to go bad you get the pulse in your pedal as the ABS system actuates improperly. Good news is even if the ABS controller goes out you WILL still have brakes, just not ABS brakes. Now lets get to cost. A rotor for your car depending on quality and type runs from 25 to 85 dollars (higher price is for more of a racing/speed type set up with frequent braking not everyday driving.. they are slotted and drilled to dissipate heat faster) Labor at a local mechanic to replace is going to be about $80. The ABS Controller module for your car runs from $745 up to $1100 dollars and the replacement cost is going to be about $200 for labor.

Steering wheel vibration at 65 mpr after I had master brake cylinder replaced. I have to pull off to side of road and stop car then start up again and problem stops. Can feel vibration in brake pedal when...

check balance of tires; if ok, have rotors refinished or replaced; most likely warped rotors if you can feel it in the brake pedal when braking

most likely you have a problem with your calipers and how they are gripping with abs assist control on rotor.

I have a shimmy in mySteering wheel not all the time it comes on randomly.

In absence of more information, this is usually an symptom of warped brake rotors. A rotor can build up enough heat in a hard stop to be bendable especially with the high hydrolic pressure a brake pad can bring to bear. Simply, If you keep the brake pedal depressed hard after a hard/long stop it can warp the rotor. (NOTE: at a hard stop, as soon as possible let the car creep forward a few inches at a time so the brake pad won't be on any one spot too long, plus keep light brake pressure --only enough to keep the car from rolling). The warped rotor causes the brake pad and caliper to float too far from the rotor and you won't feel the shimmy until you apply brakes. Under brake pedal pressure each time the wheel rotates under brake pressure the rotor and caliper will rapidly vibrate a few millimeters to each side giving the sensation of a shimmy in the sterring wheel. Most of the time this can be corrected by having the rotors resurfaced( aka Turned)

Out of balance or out of round tires can also cause a shimmy but should occur at a given speed range. Warpped rotor shimmy occurs during deceleration.
