Question about 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier
Maybe the fuel pump has gone out and not pumping gas anymore. I've done this but you can do it at your own risk, pour a few drops of gasoline on the air filter and reinstall it. Now try and see if it will fire and maybe start if the fuel pump is working enough to get some gas to the engine. If it trys to start but quits then try it again. Just be careful with gasoline, but you know that since you just filled it up somehow.

Try holding the gas pedal to the floor and crank the engine. Don't crank for more than a minute as it will burn out the starter. Good luck and if this doesn't work we can try something else. Please rate me so I know how I'm doing. Thank you.
