Question about 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Check the wires inside the rubber according between the drivers door and the pillar. you will find at least one wire broken. Grand Cherokees are notorious for this problem. At least it's easy to fix though.

After my 1-08-09 entry I went to the door to A-pillar wire loom and found a broken wire: Orange/white. Running power from the battery to the door side of the wire gets all the previously non-op equipment working. Just need to find the other end of the wire now!

Hey mate, I have just checked mine with the same problem, and it is the black ground wire in the wiring loom between the door and body. Hope you have sorted yours out, if not, check it

Check the wiring between the drivers door and the "a" pillar. Check the maxi fuses under the hood also. Push in on the rear hatch and see if the dome lights go out. Sometimes the rear hatch has to be adjusted to close tight.
