Remove 3 - 4 screws on fender cover close to side marker light. Pull fender cover out a bit for you to use your other hand to reach side marker light. By twisting on one direction and here you go the light out. Replace new bulb and replace everything on reverse order.

Rear passenger flasher won't come on changed bulb and it still won't come on

Check for blown Turn signal fuse. A bad bulb is usually indicated by turn signal indicator light on the instrument panel staying on (No flash function). Also check the wiring harness on the chassis. ( left rear, usually close to bumper) Check the connector that feeds power to the rear lights for corrosion.

Weird tail light problem

HI Matt,
Your issue sounds like a fault, most likely in the rear lights. Current is feeding from the brake light circuit, into the running light circuit. The most common causes are a bulb filament broken and touching the running light circuit, and loss of ground.
observe the rear lights closely and you should get a clue as to which light is failing....but if not, just pick one....
I would run a temporary ground and test again, if no results, pull the brake light bulbs...
Transient current is often difficult to wrap your mind around, until you understand what can happen.

Have a 1986 chey k 10 truck. having problems with running tail light. i changed all the light bulbs. brake and blinker lights work but no running tail lights.

you may have bad sockets for the tail light circuit or a wiring problem under the rear of the truck along the bumper and drivers side frame area as this area takes a beating causing the wires to wear through rubbing and braking.also check the fuses as it could be just a fuse.

2001 Acura TL - Replacing driver side headlight. Does bumper really need to be removed ? OR, can the air intake sleeve come out to access the bulb cover from the rear

You shouldn't have to remove the bumper. Feel behind the light on the engine side and you should find a collar assembly with wires running into it. If you twist that collar off and then pull back toward the rear of the vehicle, pull the collar back not the wires, the light bulb should come out of the light assembly. From there it is just a matter of unplugging the old bulb and putting the new one back in them putting everything back. The whole job should take about 15 minutes.

How do you replace the rear liscense plate lights

Look behind you bumper where the lights are installed. There should be a clip slipped over the back of the housing that holds the light into the bumper. 1 per light. Use some needlenose plyers or a screwdriver to push it off. The light sould pull out of the bumper from the other side. You can disconnect the harness is you wish or just replace the bulb. Whichever suits your fancy. After replacement put the holder back into the bumper and slip the clip back on behind it. 10 minute job.

Assuming you are talking about the side marker bulb in the bumper, you need to get behind the bumper and un bolt the lens from the back side to change lens or if just bulb replacement twist socket counterclockwise to remove from lens and then change bulb. Keep in mind if the bumper has been hit this will be very difficult to do unless you loosen up bumper and pull out.
