Indicators not working

The direction indicators are unlikely to work correctly until the hazard light switch functions correctly - the hazard switch is usually wired so when operated it has cut the direction indicator wiring and connected itself to the lamps rendering the direction indicator switch redundant.

Lots of cars suffer indicator problems when the hazard switch is rarely used. Often a few minutes vigorously operating the hazard switch restores operation but if the switch is broken it must first be replaced.

try pushing the hazard light switch again. what you have is the hazard lights in operation ( both sides indicators working) In normal indicator operation power from the flasher unit is directed to which ever side you select but by pressing the hazard light switch the indicator power lights up all lights.

it is worht checking the fuses and also keep working the hazard light switch as they are not used that often they tend to get sticky on the con tacts and that will knock out your indicators as well if they start to work after working afer working the haz switck then change the switch

In my experience, when the hazards are on, the brake lights are not supposed to indicate braking in this day and age of automobiles. In other words braking lights will not override the hazards when hazarding. I believe the 3rd or high mount brake light should work when hazarding and braking at the same time to indicate you are braking. I find it very seldom is there the need to drive and have the hazards on....in torrential rain going at low speed perhaps. Anyway, hope this was helpful. If not, I apologize.

if you have trouble with your indicators or hazard lights change the hazard light switch get one on ebay.

check for a feed first to teh indicators and the hazard switch if you have a feed then renew the hazard light switch first as this switch if defective will stop all the indicator lights from working

fit a new flasher can, check fuses, if still not working may need new indicator switch assembly

when you noticed the indicator being on solid, but flashing with the hazards, are you inside your car? I mean have you gotten out of your car to check if the bulbs are working when the indicator thrown and when the hazards are on. A hard on indicator usually means that you have a bulb burnt out. The hazards will still flash as normal when inside the car even if a bulb is burnt out because the hazards do not run via the Electronic Flasher Module. The EFM is what detects a burnt out bulb

Check the hazard switch and the connector to hazard switch see if u have the power and earth to hazard switch if there is power and earth to switch then replace ur hazard switch its faulty but if there is no power and earth to switch then it has whirring problem

check the fuse sounds like that has blown as hazards work on a relay indicaters are off a fuse
