Lexus SC430 Stalling Problem

Check the EVAP system canister purge valve, usually located on or near the canister itself which should be near the fuel tank. If the valve is clogged or stuck, it will cause excessive backpressure in the vapor return system, which sounds like what is happening here. Good luck, hope this helps.

Ford Fiesta Problems I have a p reg 1.3 ford fiesta. It keeps stalling when I slow down,as though the revs are too low, but then when driving, the revs can go really high even when my foot is not on...

Spark plugs won't cause this kind of problem. It sounds more like the oxygen sensor in the air intake is faulty. You may be lucky by just cleaning the connector from the sensor or cleaning the sensor itself. It may be contaminated with dust etc. Otherwise it will mean a new sensor. Very simply, the oxygen sensor tells the EFI system the best air/fuel ratio to set at different throttle settings.

Ford fiesta keeps stalling

The problem is with your Idle Control Valve.

Look in the middle of the engine and you will see a plastic air box. Fastened to this will be the valve, a small cylinder with a wire connected to it, should be held on by 2 bolts

Undo the bolts and remove the valve. Spray WD40 into the two holes until it runs clear then rinse with petrol and let it dry.

Replace and bobs your uncle, should work fine.

You can replace the item for around £25

97 Camry Rough cold idle, weak accelleration and noisy exhaust

Lots of times the idle air control valve gets stuck on these engines. You can try cleaning it. Remove the air intake hose from the throttle body. Start the engine and spray throttle plate cleaner through the hole in the bottom on the throttle body. This will run the cleaner through the idle air control valve. make sure to keep the RPM's at about 2000 to 2500 throughout this procedure. You may need to install a new idle air control valve if it continues to happen.
