O2 sensors are located in the exhaust pipe near the front of the system (sometimes in the exhaust manifold)........your van may have more than 1 so check with the dealer (free phone call) to see if your system has multiples........as for tools all you should need is the proper size wrench (note: to remove the old one you can cut the wire off and use a socket) the pipes are subjected to extreme temperatures and the old one may be difficult to remove.
hope this helps!

Need to know where O2 sensor is located on a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan.

There are two oxygen sensors: one is upstream of the catalytic converter and one downstream of the catalytic converter. The oxygen sensor, or O2 sensor is usually located near the catalytic converter.Oxygen sensor downstream of the catalytic converter in the exhaust system on the back of the engine. ------- Thanks.Helpmech

How do I remove my o2 sensor from my 97 dodge caravan sport 3.0 liter

You need an O2 socket designed for this operation. There may be two on this vehicle. They are located on both sides of the exhaust manifold. Approach this from the under side of the van. Unplug sensor(s) & fit socket on. You need to use a lot of torque for this operation so spray it with WD40 first & let soak. Use a long ratchet bar, preferable a 1/2in. drive. Good luck!

1998 Caravan: where is the Oxygen Sensor located on the van?...

Which engine do you have? There are at least 2, One upstream and one down stream. The down stream is right after the convertor, and the upstream is on the rear of the motor threaded into the exhaust manifold if you have the 3.3 v6.

Location of oxygen sensors on 2002 dodge grand caravan with 3.3 liter engine after considerable maintance work done by a dodge dealer my gas mileage dropped by as much as 6 to 8 miles per gal. after a time...

The o2 sensors are located on the exhaust system. The upstream in on the rear exhaust manifold and the down stream is in front of the catalytic converter.Usually when they are bad they will make the check engine like go on.Make sure the air filter is clean, tires at correct inflation, alignment is to specs. If the vehicles pulls to one side or the other or steering wheel is not straight when driving down a straight stretch of road. Also tires are wearing normal.Use cruise control where ever on highway. If you let your vehicle warm up in winter. This also uses gas.Hope this helps.Good luck.

I have 2002 Dodge Caravan Sport, check engine light came

If it where me I would start considering the only common part between all these effected systems. The ECM although the dealer should be able to say for sure. They have a machine that actually replaces the ECM and can simulate all the sensors. I had to say it but you may need to take it to a dealer for complete diagnostics and repair since the machine is a dealer only type machine.
