Re: no dash lights after i put in stereo
Sorry to hear that.... Now, take it apart and find out what you unplugged while you were in there. Also, check that you did not tap into something you should not have for power, and that you did not blow a fuse by accident!

1998 honda accord v6 fully loaded 191 k on it and my dash lights stop working and the lights where my ac control as well stoped too ,, i turn on the head lights an there no lights in the dash nor the ac contrlos what is it
I have no idea about the wire that puts out gear position lights. But the one that makes dash be on constantly, is the memory wire for radio. You do need continuous power for radio to remember stored radio stations, audio adjustments and last source selected. Most aftermarket radios have two power cables, red and yellow, one is switched, meaning that it only gets power when vehicle is turned on, and the other one gets electricity constantly.
the cruise control has an ECU(electrocic control unit) which enables the car to keep moving considering the load and speed and slops too...so i don't think it should get disturbed by the stereo..
but anyway if it was doing so then you did gud.
while your buzzer doesn't work then get the electrical circuits checked and also check if while taking out stereo the sockets were loosened.. :)
hi you will proberbly find you have shorted the interior dash lghts out i would go to your fuses best bet is to look in your car manuall that came with the car as there is a few fuse boxes they vary on different models and are found in different places i think you will find a fuse gone try another fuse if it blows straight away your going to have to take your radio back out dissconnect the wires make sure none are touching ground or each other put another fuse in it shouldn,t blow if not wire the radio up to the correct terminals if the fuse still blows but didn,t blow before you started to fit the radio then some where there is a trapped wire or you have when putting screws back in to the dash trapped one it wouldn,t be the first time iv done it yates21210456
