u should have a key that is pulled out of the card side and then there is a lock hidden under the small panel on the pass door handle beside where u pull the door handle, should have a pic of key on it..sounds like u need a new battery which u will see when u slide outthe key..

Try taking out the lock-mecanism and "grease" with contact-spray. Make sure all electrical-connectors are in good shape at the same time.
Just an idea..

SOURCE: renault scenic doors locking on there own

You must have loose wiring. Open doors and check wires rinning through rubber tubes!

2017 Vauxhall Vivaro. The side door won't open from inside and outside. Central locking sounds like it's working. All other doors work fine.

If you can hear the central locking mechanism in that door, then a linkage inside must have come adrift. You would have to remove the panel and look. It appears to be a known issue!!

How do i fix it the problem with the sensor on back passenger door it shows up on dash board as door is open

Many door open sensors self-adjust the first time the door is closed. If something gets between the door jamb and the button switch, the switch can get pushed in too far to actually make the connection when the door is closed.
You may be able to pull the switch back into normal position, or at least replace the switch.

Renault scenic central locking

sticking control module in drivers door. you need to take the door panel off and get to the lock from in side and spray the door lock with degreaser. leave to dry wipe down and re grease the lock assembly. also spray some penatrating oil in door lock from out side.

Front passenger door will not open 1998 Tercel

If the passenger door has not been opened for some weeks or months, or in icy weather, it is possible that the rubber seals around the door frame will cause the door to appear 'stuck' fast - in this case, a bit of extra force from inside the car whilst pulling on the interior door handle should cause the door to open. Failing that, if the car has electrically operated central locking, when the key fob is pressed to deactivate the central locking does the door lock on the passenger side work as expected? Try unlocking the passenger door with a key, and or pull the door lock button upwards to ensure that the lock has been deactivated. Check for blown fuses.

Renault central locking problem: door open sensor

Each Door switch works on the principle of OFF when the circuit is closed (the opposite to how a household light switch works, i.e OFF when the circuit is open). The door switch contacts become corroded with the passing of time and therefore don't make a closed circuit when the door(s) are closed consequently fooling the central locking system to believe that a door is open.

First thing to do is identify which door switch is not working or working intermittently. Open each door in turn and push the door switch in with your finger (located on the pillar of the body). If it's an intermittent fault then hold it there for 30 seconds wiggling the button switch slightly to establish a contact. If that doesn't identify the faulty switch then remove each one in turn and check with a meter for continuity - continuity will occur with the switch pushed in, if no continuity then you've found your faulty switch. You can repair these switches with a little patience, or pick-up a replacement from a scrapyard for less than a pound. Tip - before disconnecting the cable from the switch, tie a long piece of string onto the cable to prevent it from disappearing into the body of the car.
