Question about 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee
1996 w118K, 5.2 V8 4WD - The "check engine light" is on and I disconected the batt for about 10 minutes, then re-connected, ran for 2-minutes and I was good-to-go....until three days later it came back on. During all the time it is on the vehicle works fine and runs great, except for the overhead display,(see 28 Oct answer from http://www.fixya.com/users/mikey108). I did the key test and I got the following readings; 12 - 31 - 55. I get 12 and 55, but 31??? this happened in Nov 2008.
Take it to autozone or advance auto parts and they will hook a machine to it for free to tell you what the problem is
