Question about 2001 Ford Escort ZX2
The above mentioned window gives problem on the close command at both side. Its stop during closing and I have to wait about 5minutes to try again. It takes me about 5 to 6 atempt to get the window completly closed.
Your reply soonest
Either your gear/regulator assembly is binding up, or your drive motor for your window is burning out. If you can pull upwards on the window and the drive motor has no problems lifting the gear assembly up to where you lifted the motor, the problem is likely with the motor. If it keeps binding up it is most likely a damaged or misaligned gear assembly.
The procedure to inspect/repair both is the same. You must remove the door panel and visually inspect the gear/regulator for damage or misalignment.
If it is damaged or misaligned, and upon repair you still have the same problem, the added torque needed to raise the window past the damage/misalignment has burned out the motor as well. The longer you go without repairing a damaged/misaligned gear assembly the more likely damage has been caused to the motor as well.
If the gear assembly is fine and the problem persists you must replace the drive motor for the window, then re-assemble the door panel.
If your issue was wiring related the motor likely wouldn't work at all or would cut in an out in a choppy fashion instead of acting like it's losing power over time (as it heats up it loses torque, as it cools it regains some allowing you to try again.)

Tips for a great answer:
If the test lamp is always ON, test for a short to voltage on either control circuit. If the circuits test normal, replace the DDS.
