These lights for the dash are controlled by a rheostat instrument control dimmer switch next to the main light switch for the headlights, it is either turned off (have seen this dozens of times) or it is defective. Below is a picture of the switch assembly I speak of. The thumb wheel next to the knob is the dimmer control.
Check your fuse box, Should be under your dash, right above where your clutch would be. Read the back of the panel, it will tell you which fuse goes where. check that fuse, or replace it. I cheat and put a higher amp fuse in all my fuse spots.
Correct. This panel is held on tightly and plastic interior pryors help. One it is started tho it will come off. Some control knobs come off too. The heaterr controller once out then needs to be taken apart carefully to reveal the little bulbs. These are unique bulbs not run of the mill. I don't think they are the same as the dash bulbs.hth
It can be replaced with just bulbs. They are a pain in the **** to get ordered correctly but the are serviceable. Also, you can change the shifter light bulbs as well, just turn the bulb 30 degrees or so and pull out gently.
Remove the metal part of the ashtray, you will see two screws that hold the ashtray plastic part on, underthis is the screws for the lower panel You can now carefully lift the whole panel away.
There is a tiny little peanut shaped light bulb inside the radio that provides the light for the dial, it is replaceable, you will need to remove the radio, then pull the top cover off the radio chassis, the bulb is under the cover.
i just recently replaced mine and the temp control had burned . the dash fascia needs to be removed. the vents must come out and then remove the screws that hold it on..there are probably 10 screws.. under the vents , behind the ashtray, and behind the cruise control switch and dimmer switch.. once this is done you need to remove the 4 screws that hold the heater control unit in. the bulb that needs to be replaced lights up temp control and fan speed...you may be able to download an exploded veiw of the dash fascia...this is an involved job...but worth it at night!
