The most simple solution to this Problem Which is VERY Common on this model Truck (Had a 85' Chevy) is to get an Electrical Tester from any Auto Parts Store or Wal-Mart and Unplug the Headlights one at a time and check the Leads in the Harness. If they test ok then go to the Fuse Box and Check there after you Pull out the fuse and reattach the Light Harness to the Bulb. There should be a Short under the Dash on the Stearing Column. It is a Task to fix on your own But, Can be done. I went so far as to Install a GT Grant Steering Wheel and REwired the Horn to solve that Problem. You could have messed up the Harness for these when you adjusted the Clutch But, These wires only go through the FireWall and Not under the Truck. Get a Tester and start Pokin around. Any good Parts Shop will be able to tell you how to work the Tester and there are all Kinds of MANY Price Ranges. Just let them know what the Problem is and they will know which one you need!

How do I find the horn under the hood:

Horn is under the front headlight light, which would have to be removed to access or pull the front wheel well liners out and look in just below the running lights. I believe 2 horns.

I'd be willing to bet your dash lights don't work either when you turn the headlight on.change the headlight switch, it has a short, it's only about 11 dollars at advance auto, and is fairly easy to replace. my 93 chevy did same thing, changed headlight switch, problem solved

The brake lights and tail lights to my 85 GMC Sierra Classic are not working, but my headlights work, what can the problem be?

Rear ground wire is rusty or dirty or fuse is blown front and rear lights are on a separate circuit and fuse.

I have a 2002 gmc sierra z71. The headlights just stopped working. I have checked the relay/fuse under the hood and it's working. Can you help.

Check the head light switch itself and also the halogen bulbs and there electrical contacts.
Not uncommon for a headlight switch to fry out, is uncommon for both headlight bulbs to go bad at the same time unless someone spiked the electrical system with something as weird as incorrectly hooking up jumper cables and back feeding other components.

Brake lights quit working.

if all fuses and bulbs are ok get to the brake switch and see ifits stiff or stuck, if it just has two wires on it you could join themtogether to see if the brake lights come on though obviuosly dont leave them joined.Good luck davelee
