2002 GMC Envoy transmission problems

Just got a 2002 Envoy that has been parked for 2 years. The transmission was slipping so I changed the filter and fluid, doesn't slip now, but the only way it will shift is to back off the gas when the revs go up and step on it again to change gears. But it only works in A4WD, the lights flash for 2hi but it won't go in. Also there are 2 plugs unplugged and all corroded that plug into a box under the drivers door attached to the frame with what looks like brake or transmission lines coming out of it. Could this have something to do with the problem?

Since the truck sat for so long, I suggest checking the operation of the detent cable and linkage at the transmission. It is common for the linkage to stick due to corrosion from sitting for a long period of time. I had the same problem with my Jeep GC. There is a small return spring that is not strong enough to pull the linkage back if the linkage does not move freely. I suggest using AMSOIL penetrating oil if you cannot move it freely in BOTH directions. I sprayed mine and let it sit before it freed up. Shifts like a dream now. The transmission works the same in 2wd or 4wd. It seems you have a seperate problem with your transfer case.

Replaced Actuator and now transmission is slipping

Difficult to say, I would ask, "Why did you change your Actuator" Making Assumptions that there might have been an existing issue before you choose to change or repair the Actuator. But in general no the actuator has no effect on the Transmission slipping, have you done a filter and trans oil change? verify your oil levels...

Tranny slips when warm, runs fine cold, why?

That's a sign of hardened seals. They're stiff and leak when cold and soften and seal better as they warm up When did you change fluid last? You can try a fluid flush and a bottle of Lubeguard supplement. But really, start saving for a transmission rebuild.

Transmission slipping on 03 GMC Envoy. what does iy mean when trans fluid measure high on dip stick?

Two things: #1 someone has overfilled it by mistake thinking they were putting oil in the engine. Yes I have seen this.
#2 The transmission cooler in the radiator could be leaking antifreeze into the transmission through the cooling line raising the fluid level. I would look for milk shake foam on the dip stick and make sure you check trans in park and not neutral.

My 2002 GMC Envoy SLT is backed up on an incline and is in park. I start the vehicle and can't get out of park. Envoy drove just fine before now. What could be the problem?

The pressure on the parking pawl in the transmission from the truck being parked on an incline is preventing the pawl from releasing. See if you can get another vehicle to push it a small amount so you can release it from Park position.

2003 envoy only runs 10mph when cold when warm runs fine

CHECK TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL. SOUND LIKE TRANSMISSION SLIPPING. BEST THING TO DO IF NOT.TO CHANGE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND FILTER.IF TRANSMISSION FILTER STOPPED UP TRANSMISSION CAN PUMP ENOUGH THROUGH DIRTY FILTER TO OPERATE WHEN FLUID GETS HOT BECOMES THINNER THEN IT WILL FLOW THROUGH FILTER BEFORE TRANSMISSION WILL SHIFT RIGHT.

My envoy drive in first speed bot no change to 2 and 3 sped the house transsmision cooler crak i put regular oil transmission bot no change

If you put regular motor oil in the transmission you will need to have it drained and flushed and it's a good idea to have the filter changed at the same time.
