The clip behind the handle requires a specialty tool available at any autoparts store. it is shaped like a U, but has little tabs on it to catch the ears of the clip.
After removing the clip, remove the plastic trim by the mirror... and a little trapdoor inside the door handle cup will have a screw in it.
The rest are just push-clips, so start at the bottom, and pull toward you... working your way around the door.

The tool looks like this...

My window won't roll up

If its an electric system, chances are the window motor went out. Also another problem that could be causing it is a broken regulator as well. If you know enough about cars you can remove the door panel your self and take a look to see whats going on. Parts for this type of situation can be located in Autozone, Carquest, Napa, or Pep Boys. Now if it is a system where you use a handle to roll the window up and down then the linkage that attaches the regulator to the handle may be broken. Again you can remove the door panel, there should be only a couple of bolts and take a look. A word of caution when dealing with anything electrical always disconnect the battery to be on the safe side and aviod getting shocked or having one of the systems acuate while you are touching them.

Hope This Helps!

Door has been shut too hard and now window will not roll up nor down and something is jiggling inside the door, the handle turns loosely... how do I remove the handle and inside door panel as I do not want...

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. All you have to do is remove the screws that hold the panel on. They are probably 4-6 screws on the outer edge of the door panel. You may have one or two on the handle or door lock area. If not, just remove the ones on the side. Once it is removed, you will then need to remove any foam or plastic that is in the door. The regulator controls the window going up and down so that might be your problem. Once everything is removed, you should be able to find your problem.

Door panel and bezel removal

There are two screws in the door pull (which face straight down) - remove those first.

Next remove bezel around inside door handle. Carefully use screwdriver to push in on four tabs (at the four compass headings) and pull out on bezel. These are easy to break as they get brittle with age.

Start at bottom of door (using a trim removal tool) and pry out door fasteners (white posts which fit into friction fittings in door). You have to pry pretty hard. Use trim removal tool to apply force right at fastener. There are 3-4 on bottom of door and two on each side.

Once all the fasterners are loose. Carefully look behind door and remove the doors light and speaker connectors. The Speaker Connector can be hard to get to - you may need some help holding panel. Be careful because the wires to speakers are delicate and easy to break.

Once the panel is loose - roll down windows and pull up on door panel. It has a lip that fits over top of the door opening. You must pull straight up to disengage it.

That's it all done - not really hard but will seem a little strange at first. Take your time and be careful and the seconds one will take much less. I've had to remove all four of my door panels on my 1999 K1500 to replace window and lock motors. But, after 200,000 miles the 'burb is going strong.

The drivers side window will not roll up or down. All other windows will. At night I can see the light flahing on the switch if I try to roll it down

It sounds like your switch may be faulty or there's a short somewhere

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can remove the switches and test them

Do i have to remove the door panel to take off door speaker covers? Speaker covers are starting to rust and want to remove all 4 speaker covers on door just to paint them. Trying to remopve without...

I believe that your speaker covers are clipped in through the back of the panel and won't come out through the front without breaking some of the clips. The proper way would be to remove the door panels and remove the covers out the back of the panel.

Then you can remove the panel

Driver's side interior door handle snapped off

there is plastic snaps that attatch the panel to the door all the way around the panel which you can buy a tool to remove the panel without breaking the snaps, the door handle may have a cable hooked to it that releases the latch and it might be stretched causing the handle to pull hard

Driver side door mechanism

Can you open the door with the inside handle? If you can, the problem is probably a broken plastic fitting inside between the outside handle and the door latch. There are door panel removal tools available at your local parts store that look like short handled wide bladed pry bars. You could get by with a good stiff putty knife if needed. Take off the arm rest, window crank, and speaker grill if you have aftermarket speakers. Slide the door panel removal tool under the edge of the door panel and CAREFULLY pop the clips loose from the door frame. You could always leave the window open and do the "Dukes of Hazard" thing, but then you would have to change the paint scheme.

My driver's side window will now roll up how do I fix it?

you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. Then pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything.Sounds like the linkages, or the gears of the regulator are done
