Hi - the only definition I have for any codes getting above a P0999 is a generic "heading code". Codes of the style P11xx (any "1100" code) are listed as being fuel and air metering codes, but I don't know what the specific 1167 is unfortunately. Can you give me some more specific information regarding the symptoms you're seeing? Is it only when the engine is cold, or only when warmed up, or anytime? Does it happen at idle, or under heavy throttle? If you can give me some more info like that, I may be able to narrow down the range of potential faulty parts.

P1167 seems to be a bit of a mystery. My research indicates a vacuum leak, or misdirected vacuum. Either crossed hoses, or perhaps a cracked or malfuncting valve. There should be a vacuum hose routing decal on the underside ofthe hood. This would be a good place to start your troubleshooting. Good luck!

The code 1701 means: TPS signal to TCM malfunction. TPS=Throttle Position Sensor.
TCM means=Transmission Control Module.

The engine shake requires further diagnosing. Best advice is to take/tow the vehicle to the nearest Hyundai Service Department & have a qualified/certified Hyundai Service Technician diagnose the problem. Be sure to provide the past maintance/repair history when/if you do.

Check engine light is on took to auto zone they gave me a code that said P1166

Hello there:
P1167 and P1166 codes relate to the primary O2 sensor heater malfunction.
there are two different O2 sensors, a "universal" sensor from Autozone and a supposedly OEM sensor from O'Reilly's. Both of them may cause the car to throw a p1166 or P1167 code and run rough. so i highly recommend getting a O2 sensor from Honda, and this will fix the problem .
It turns out that none of the aftermarket probes from Bosch or Denso will work on a ULEV (F23A4) 4 cyl. engine. Honda had different part number probes for the normal VTEC 4 cyl. and the ULEV Vtec engine and the probes look different and have different length cables. The computers at O'Reilly's, Autozone, or NAPA made no distinction between these two engine types.

Go to an Autozone or some other auto parts store and they will plug in their test set for free and give you the code and tell you what it says.

REPORT THAT SHOP TO BBB. If they charged you and didnt fix it they stole your money. If a fix may not fix the car you should be told upfront.
Sounds like you will need a shop that has a scanner capable of transmission fault testing.
Most genisys and snap-on scanners have this capability.
