Question about 1999 Ford Expedition
It started when I drove this truck when the check engine is on for few weeks. Check engine is now off but the airbag light will go on when I start the truck or it will blink for a about 10 seconds then stay on
U need to get this checked out. 1st the airbag light, it is normal for the light to go on when u 1st start the vehicle, but it should then go off. This shows the light is functioning properly. If it is staying on, there could be a problem w/ the air bag not working if u are in an accident.
As far as the check engine light, since it is now off, a minor problem may have corrected itself, but to be sure, u should have any stored codes read from the vehicles computer to make sure everything is ok. Most auto parts stores will check for trouble codes for free, ask them what any codes mean, and what they recommend to fix any problems. U can get further info here if u need it, let us know what codes (if any) were found.
So get that air bag checked out, it's a safety issue and should be checked asap.
