did you measure the voltage at the lighter center pin

moreover its prob the lighter plug in coil thats gubbed

not the supply

try buying a coffee etc heater and plug it into the cig lighter

does it work well then its the coil

look inside the fuse cover panel it will show you what fuses do what,,,

A strut is a combination coil spring with the shock absorber inside. From what you describe, the shocks need replacement.

I changed the front driver side caliber on a 1989 cadillac seville and the tire keeps smoking. I have changed it several times and I don't know what the problem is.

Replace the brake hose. It has collapsed on the inside and the outer casing is holding pressure on the caliper.

MY 99 CADILLAC SEVILLE SERVICE SUSPENSION MESSAGE IS ON HOW CAN I RESET IT ? I HAD CHANGE MY FRONT STRUTS.

You need a OBD 2 diagnostic scanner with resets for 1996 and newer cars. Or take it to a garage and they will rset it for like 75.00. Advance Auto has the scanners on sale for 109.00 this week.

You should have coil over stuts/shocks. On the rear you will have to put a coil kit on, but the front is ready to be changed. All you have to do is replace the air shocks with normal shocks with coil springs/helper springs. You can normally find these kits at auto supply stores, but you can also find them online, and possibly eBay. Make sure to shop around before you make a purchase. Your other option is to replace your air bags with lifter shocks. You would run the air lines to a convenient place where you can air them up manually. This would allow you to change the height of the car and the ride of the car. But this will make the "Cadillac ride" become more of a truck feel. Hope this helps you with your decision.

Help replacing the front struts on 89 VW Cab

You'll need to remove the upper strut mount nut. Unbolt the 2 bolts from strut to the wheel hub. Remove the strut unit from the car. You'll need a coil spring compressor to compress the spring to unscrew the strut bushing, remove the strut mount and remove the spring from the strut, install the spring to the new strut and reassemble. You'll be better off to get the whole strut, instead of the replacement cartridge, it's often hard to remove the old one from the old housing. Don't forget to replace the strut mount and strut bushing.

Front shocks

hyd. struts. Each side will have to be removed individually, the large coil spring is removed, then an insert is installed. After both sides are done, the front end will have to be re-aligned. Over all, not cheap. So you want to be sure you need new struts. There are not shocks, but struts.

Just have a look you will be able to see them easy enough they will be part of the shock absorber at the top behind front wheel

truthfully I have looked. according to the varies parts houses and even cadi deadler. their all not sure since this was the last yr of this body style and was also used as transition with part options.

guess i will have to remove old to see if there is one on top. yet in looking i seen none, and have never seen a cadi without them.

Very easy, just remove front tires and unbolt, BUT I doubt you are asking right question. Not mounts, but mount in dead front center is problem. There are 4 mounts, transmission center back, left center and right center and front center. That takes full torque of motor and heat from exhaust. GM has a shield for exhaust.
