02 ZX2 runnig poor after spark plug replacement

Just replaced the plugs in my 02 ZX2 with 46K miles on it.
Now car runs as if it is missing.
Timing light on each plug wire shows that more than one are inconsistantly flashing?
I keep engine clean and all plugs and wires are also clean and free from oil, water & debry...
Any insight?

Also... would this be covered under warranty?

Solution seems a little miraculous (although I believe in miracles).
I ohmed out each sparkplug wire finding them all good.
I wiped off the little debry that had collected around each seal of both the sparkplug and distributor ends (remember, I keep this engine clean and there was no noticable fluids or dirt before or during this problem).
I then replaced the same plug wires and viola, all is good!

My only thought is that maybe when putting the plug caps down in the sparkplug wells that maybe one or more found their way beside a plug inside of over and on the plug, but I did not take any wires off to verify this.

Why would an 2005 Town and country van with a 3.8 engine start and sound/run good for a couple of seconds and then starts missing real bad.

Crankshaft position sensor maybe , throttle position sensor , coolant temp. sensor etc.... It could be a lot of thing's . Instead of buying this part an that part ,take it an have it diagnosed . To a good ASE certified repair shop . Unless you like buying unneeded parts .

Why does my 2.5 GMC sonoma truck skips or misses?

Worn timing belt or bad map sensor, weak ignition coil, worn distributor gear (usually starts hard with that) Leaking manifold gaskets all possible causes. Start with a new coil, spray starting fluid around manifold gasket while running, if it revs up in any certain spots, manifold leaking (intake only test), check vacuum lines for cracks and leaks,(MAP) replace sensor. Over 75,000 miles probably timing belt, recommended change interval is 60,000 miles.

2000 ford escort zx2 wont start

Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.

I have a 2002 Chevy Tracker. Lately it's developed a serious miss, almost as if you turn the key off while it's running. Almost immediately it catches back up again. I don't get backfiring. I'm trying...

Maybe its time for new spark plug,,, this is an inexpensive refresh and something the mechanic will do if he starts troubleshooting the engine miss. While you are installing the new spark plugs, give your spark plug wires a CLOSE VISUAL inspection for burns, cracks, or other defects that would cause a misfire..Once you have replaced the spark plugs..checked the wires, ..and if the miss is still there, its time for a qualified professional to look at it.. they will hook it to a diagnostic machine and tell you what happening... good luck..... and no, it hasn't "slipped timing"..

02 Stratus 2.4L the car misses @ idle and has no codes set. I was told the sync signal was lost. What do I need?

First time replace all spark plugs. Verify also the fuel filter and air filter. Replace if necessary. After that start the engine and run few miles on highway.

Car all of a sudden started overheating. Already had timing belt, serpitine belt, spark plugs, water pump and radiator plug replaced 2 months ago -could this be as simple as a thermostat? 135,000 mile 2001...

The thermostat is the most likely problem and also the easiest/cheapest to replace. You could also start by checking the fuse for the electric engine fan, if it is good you could try to disconnect the fan and run 12v ( + and -) to it directly from the battery. It should turn on.

When to replace the timing belt and spark olugs in my 2005 coroll

60,000 is the recommended miles, but they will go 90,000 in most cases depending on how easy the car is driven, around town more often.
